Galia C.’s husband passed away after his seven year battle with cancer, and she was left with four little children to raise, alone. She is also left with her husband’s substantial medical debts and numerous other expenses. Galia has no money at all. She also has no parents or relatives for support, and she struggles on a daily basis, pulled in multiple directions to provide for her family. In addition to meeting their basic necessities, Galia must also address her children’s emotional issues and learning disabilities. The youngest has special needs.
 
The loss of a beloved spouse and parent is always terrible, always heartbreaking. The family’s pain never fully subsides and is only made worse when the financial situation in the home deteriorates. With their main breadwinner gone, they are unable to cover even their most basic needs.

Yad Eliezer | B’ezri is there for these families, providing them with financial assistance to ease their situation, bringing tremendous comfort and relief. Through our Widows and Orphans Fund, we allocate a stipend to 900+ women enrolled in our roster, every month. The support (an average of A$1,200 per recipient) ensures the widows can rely on a consistent payment wired directly into their bank accounts, so they can meet their families’ needs and keep them stable. The program also supplies urgent aid to cover a one-time expense such as a medical requirement, tuition support, help for a simcha, appliances for a bride and groom, or other necessity.

The program’s attentive and caring staff are always available to the widows, offering a listening ear and a place to turn with their requests or needs.
